LÌ PER LEI is a Scandinavian brand created in 2021 in Stockholm, Sweden by Mariolina Penco, founder and head designer.

Here, handmade bags are designed and created by crocheting from sustainable and recycled materials. We let traditional craftsmanship meet modern aesthetics.

The core of the brand is craftsmanship. Our bags are carefully made by hand with a special crochet technique that makes each bag completely unique.

Our inspiration comes from the passion for classic Italian craftsmanship that meets the Scandinavian minimalist style, which is characterized in the design and shape of the bags. To create a statement piece that is both stylish and sustainable.

OUR HISTORY

The dream of creating something of her own in fashion and craftsmanship has always been there for Mariolina. Through her family and roots in the Italian capital, where her aunt created her own bag and shoe brand in the late 90s.
The studio was located on the family farm and Mariolina spent hours as a child in these premises. Bags hanging along the walls. The smell of leather and freshly brewed espresso that constantly filled the rooms. The sounds of creation by hand by incredible Italian craftsmen. These images have stayed with Mariolina and right there and then she set a dream and a goal for herself, a dream that has now become a reality.

To one day create statement pieces, unique bags, through craftsmanship, in models that will suit women of all ages and for all occasions in life.
Through her personal crochet technique, Mariolina Penco designs and creates all bags by hand, in her home in Stockholm. A craft that adds that little extra to your looks.
